Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali, who is set to return for the Carabao Cup second-round tie at Forest (August 28), is finally relieve after serving a 10-month ban and will use the game at the City Ground to repay all parties at the club for their support despite his breach of rules.
Tonali has been found guilty of betting on the outcome of football matches while playing for AC Milan in Serie A and has been bann by the Italian Football Federation from October 2023, effective worldwide.
That leaves the £55m signing, who has only played 12 games for the Magpies. Out of the squad until the suspension period is up, which is particularly exciting for the Italian.
“I’m happy, it’s the first game after 10 months. It feels really good because I know the team is with me. I’ve never been lonely in the past 10 months,” he told the club’s TV channel.
“I admit that the first three months of October and December were very difficult. Now, I feel like I’m starting over.”
“Professional footballers live for the game, so Promotion Ufabet during the time I was gone I felt uncomfortable. I tried to train, tried to follow the schedule every day. I might even train harder than when I wasn’t bann from playing.”
If he doesn’t make it to Wednesday’s game. Tonali is hoping to play in the big game against Spurs at St James’ Park (September 1) before the international break.
